Happy Oscar Day 2016

As Star Wars Fans today is a pretty exciting day! The last time Star Wars won an Academy Award it was 1984.

The prequel trilogy received 5 oscar nominations but no wins, and now here we are in 2016 and Star Wars is back baby thanks to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with 5 nominations….

Film Editing: Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey

Original Score: John Williams

Lets go Star Wars: The Force Awakens!! It’s so great to see these nominations, but I also feel JJ Abrams should of been up for best director, Star Wars: The Force Awakens should have definitely been nominated for best picture and Harrison Ford as best actor. I mean come on, he returns as Han Solo revisiting the Star Wars universe 30 years later. Awwww and I can’t forget BB8 he definitely gets my vote for best supporting actor.;)

Since it’s Oscar day, we thought it would be super cute to do a fun DIY, and celebrate every ones favourite Oscar…. Oscar Isaac aka POE DAMERON!!

Here’s what you need:

Poe Dameron action figure, gold paint, paint brushes, glue and some sort of stand to attach your action figure.

This is just a fun ,simple craft that make great prizes at your Oscar’s party, used as table decorations or place it proudly on your favourite Star Wars shelve.

Step 1

paint your action figure, at least 2 coats and let dry.

Step 2

once dry attach to your stand of choice

Step 3

You now have your own Oscar, put on the popcorn, settle in front of the TV and get ready to cheer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

OSCAR Dameron
